Crew Size for Coating?

WHAT IS THE BEST CREW SIZE FOR COATING PIPE WITH THE
QUIK-COATING PROCESS?

“You’ve talked about crew sizes for CIPP but what about the coating process? We’re thinking of offering this to our clients but are tying to figure crew sizes and costs to figure what we should charge”.

We talked about the pretty standard crew size with the Quik-Shot CIPP lateral lining system as a two-man operation unless the job profile calls for more because of multiple shots in a close local area or longer runs that just require manpower to handle long lines.

The AIPPR coating process is a little different in that we’ve made it truly a one-man operation. A single operator can show up at the job-site and easily unload the equipment and materials needed. Carry the equipment and supplies up and down stairs. He or she can open the DWV line to be coated, clean it with the tools provided for the process, wash down the line with water and dry the line in preparation for coating. The hoses, the drive cable and the camera cable can be easily inserted and pulled back by a single person in most cases. The cases are coating pipe in lengths of 50’ or less. If coating a 6” plumbing stack on a high rise at lengths of 100’, you will need some added help.
