What is GreenBook Certification?

In the early 1950s, several public works engineers set a standard for materials used on public works projects and designated the name Greenbook to those standards. For sewers, they set a standard that included a very strong chemical resistance to sewer gases and required all contractors to submit independent testing of those materials proving they could withstand the corrosion test from their standard. Those that gained or lost more than 2.5% of their weight were deemed not suitable.

In 2006, Pipe Lining Supply requested to act in the role of lateral lining contractors to run the material tests through 3rd party testing labs that would meet those standards previously set. They agreed that if we proved the materials worthy of installing into the sewer system and train the contractors on the proper materials and standards, they would forgo making each lateral lining contractor test the materials we supplied repeatedly.

This Greenbook Certification training is designed to ensure you know the proper materials and methods of installation that will meet those standards and make you and your companies more valuable to people who hire you to rehabilitate their sewer laterals.
