Job Documentation
Best Practice – 5th in the Series
No matter what service you perform for your customers, documenting the work as well as the conditions pre and post job are important for yourself and your customers.
Before starting your work it’s a good practice to photo your workspace and any areas you will be gaining access to. Depending on what type of work you are performing, the conditions of the work areas can be captured in a picture. While we’re deeply into best practices with this addition, this job documentation should start at the beginning of the job and continue throughout the job with the end being the finished job.
Pipe Lining Supply provides a form for recording the work performed. Embedded in this document is our Job Documentation Form.
You may tailor your form for your company however all the information contained in this form provides you and your customer a road map of the work completed. For more information contact us at +1-888-354-6464 or write to info@pipeliningsupply.com.
Next week we’ll talk about setting up the job and the best way to document the details telling your crew the who, what, where, when and why they are performing the work in Best Practices 6.
